Rainbow.Rain

Many years ago
In a raining afternoon
Sitting alone on a lightless bus
On the way home
The four o’clock sun
Quietly lit up the railings and seats
In the eastern sky
A huge rainbow
Reflected on the wet windows
Blurry like dream

Some years later
In a winter evening
Walking alone in the misty rain
From the western sky
A pure yellowish light
Piled into the gloomy clouds
Millions of lines and powders
Bumping into each other
In the air
Shining as fireworks

Lonely Bus

Lonely Bus

In the second month of 2005, the air was still cold.

About five or six in the evening, the sky already turned into a greyish blue and melted into light yellow in the west. I was waiting at a bus stop two blocks away from my house. It was neither the peak time nor the main route. Twenty minutes later, a trolley bus appeared in my sight.

The sun became even brighter in the dusk. Three or four seats were taken in the front row. While I was moving towards the rear seats, the golden dust was dancing in the air. I found a side seat faced to the opposite windows. The shadows of trees, buildings, and utility poles were flickering in front of my eyes. After a moment of blankness, I took out my camera and pushed the shutter.

Like the sunset, the trip wasn’t long.
